NBU sells $421 million on interbank market over week

The National Bank of Ukraine sold USD 421.3 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week.

The data is published on the NBU's website, Ukrinform reported.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, from January 22 to 26, 2024, the NBU sold USD 421.3 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and bought USD 0.52 million.

Since the beginning of 2024, the NBU has sold USD 2.415 billion on the interbank market and bought USD 1.17 million.

As reported, in 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine sold USD 28.829 billion on the interbank market and bought USD 219.85 million.

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to switch to a regime of managed exchange rate flexibility starting October 3, 2023. The fixed exchange rate of UAH 36.5686 per US dollar was in effect in Ukraine from the end of July 2022 to October 3, 2023.
