Another EUR 25 million will be spent on subsidies for companies, enterprises and civil society organizations to facilitate reconstruction and recovery, primarily in the areas of agriculture, water supply and health care. From September, companies and social organizations can apply for grants.

Also, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher announced a new Dutch envoy in Ukraine. Roderick van Schreven has become a special envoy for business and reconstruction of Ukraine. He succeeds Ron van Dartel, who left less than a month after taking office in April due to controversial statements in a book. Van Dartel said, among other things, that Ukrainians are also Russians.

Van Schreven previously worked for the United Nations and as a special envoy for cooperation between the Netherlands, Israel and the Palestinian territories.
