The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU at the level of ambassadors (Coreper) supported the proposal to extend the liberalization of trade rules between Ukraine and the EU for another year, which provides for the abolition of any import duties for Ukrainian goods.

The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the US posted this on Twitter, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“Coreper just supported a renewal of Regulation on temporary trade liberalisation supplementing trade concessions under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. This will support Ukraine’s economy following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine” the post says.

This decision is expected to be put to a vote by the European Parliament during its next plenary session on May 8-11.
