Russia's actions to block inspections of ships sailing through the "grain corridor" are recorded by both the secretariat of the Joint Coordination Center and the Ukrainian side as legal evidence of one of Russia's crimes in the war against Ukraine.

This was stated by Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar at a briefing on the topic: "Grain Deal: How is the mechanism working now?" in the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.

"Of course, all of this (Russia's blocking of ship inspections - ed.) is recorded. The work of the Joint Coordination Center continues in a quadripartite format and, firstly, it is recorded by the secretariat itself - minutes of meetings are drawn up. Secondly, reports on each day of work of the national delegations are compiled. We record everything," Bodnar said.

He added that when the time comes to consider Russia's blocking of the grain initiative at the International Criminal Court, it will be a documentary basis to confirm Russia's deconstructive and sometimes criminal actions regarding food security and other crimes related to the war against Ukraine.

As reported, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov announced the resumption of inspections of ships traveling through the "grain corridor" after its second blockade by Russia.

Earlier it was reported that on April 17, 2023, Russia blocked for the second time the inspection of ships in the territorial waters of Turkey sailing through the "grain corridor".
