Ukrgasvydobuvannya puts into service highest-capacity gas well in past 2.5 years

The relevant statement was made by Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“This is one of the highest-capacity wells launched by Ukrgasvydobuvannya in March 2023. Its daily production rate has exceeded 460,000 cubic meters of gas. It has the highest production indicators among the wells that the company has put into service over the past 2.5 years. This is an important achievement for us,” Naftogaz Group CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov noted.

According to the company, the success became possible thanks to modern approaches to geological data processing, in particular 3D seismic survey materials, which made it possible to identify the previously unexplored deposit and determine the optimal point for drilling.

“In the extremely challenging conditions of martial law, we are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine will be able to withdraw from gas imports as soon as next heating season,” Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC Acting Director General Oleg Tolmachev added.

A reminder that Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC is planning to increase gas production volumes by 1 billion cubic meters in 2023, so that the country’s consolidated gas production output would reach 19 billion cubic meters.
