The representatives of Ukraine and Poland have agreed to build a new border checkpoint, Adamchuky-Zbereże.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The construction matters were discussed by Volyn Border Guard Detachment Head Serhii Lozinskyi and a delegation from the Lublin Voivodeship during a working meeting.

The Adamchuky-Zbereże border checkpoint is expected to reduce road traffic and passenger load at other border checkpoints, namely in order to allow more passenger cars and individuals.

Ukrainian and Polish representatives also agreed to promptly exchange information about any maneuvers of military equipment along the border areas within the territory of Belarus.

In addition, Ukrainian and Polish border guards praised progress in the implementation of pilot projects related to cargo trucks at such border checkpoints as Yahodyn-Dorohusk and Ustyluh-Zosin.
