The Ukrainian court seized two AN148 aircraft belonging to a Russian joint-stock company.

That’s according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.

According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, personal special economic and other sanctions were applied to the company in question.

The inquiry learned that in 2021, the sanctioned firm, using a Cypriot offshore company to circumvent sanctions, entered into a lease agreement for the said aircraft with a Ukrainian company that operated the planes.

After the Russian full-scale invasion, the lease agreements were terminated.

The planes were set to be exported from the territory of Ukraine and delivered to the Russian Federation. Their estimated value is about EUR 10 million.

Under the procedural guidance of the PGO, the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings into the facts of aiding and abetting the aggressor state and collaborative activities (Part 1 of Article 111-2, Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) continues, run by the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

As reported by Ukrinform, the SBU forwarded to courts indictments against 55 lawmakers with the Russian State Duma who voted for the recognition of the "LPR/DPR".
