Thanks to the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the measures taken by power engineers amid the January 14 missile strikes, the controllability and integrity of Ukraine’s power system has been preserved. However, the most difficult situation with electricity is in Kharkiv and Lviv regions.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo, said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

“The 12th massive missile attack on Ukraine’s power system. The targets of Russian terrorists today were power plants, as well as substations of Ukrenergo. Thanks to the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the measures taken by power engineers during the strikes, the controllability and integrity of the power system was preserved. However, there is a significant shortage in the system. The situation is difficult in Kharkiv region and Lviv region. Repair crews are already working there, as well as in other regions, and the elimination of the consequences of the attack is ongoing. We are doing everything necessary to restore power supply as soon as possible," the report says.

As Ukrinform reported, on January 14, Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine.
