Four representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) left Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant on September 5, with two IAEA mission members remaining at the station.

According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom said this on the messaging app Telegram.

"Today, September 5, 2022, four out of the six representatives of the IAEA inspection team completed their work at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and left the site of the plant," the report said.

At the same time, two IAEA experts are expected to continue to work at the nuclear plant on a permanent basis.

As reported, the Russian military, their equipment and ammunition remain at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The IAEA mission visited the ZNPP on September 1. On the same day, most members of the mission left the facility.

The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Europe's largest, has been occupied by the Russian military since March 4. Since then, the invaders have placed military equipment and ammunition at the station, shelling the surrounding area.

The UN, U.S. and Ukraine called on Russia to withdraw military equipment and personnel from the nuclear facility.
