President: Corridor for Ukrainian grain and oil exports should be set up

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky considers unblocking Ukrainian ports a strategic issue as Russia's blockade could lead to grain and oil shortage around the globe.

"It is important that we build a corridor for 22 million tonnes of grain and oil. Otherwise, there will be a deficit. This is the second phase after last year's energy crisis provoked by Russia," Zelensky said, while delivering a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The President noted that Ukraine could export 10 million tonnes of products a month, in particular by rail, through friendly countries – Poland and the Baltic states. "We could improve the export of grain and oil, but unlocking the ports is a must," Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine also noted that he did not understand the countries that buy grain stolen by Russia in Ukraine.

In addition, the President of Ukraine called on the entire civilized world to stick together because Russia is afraid of such unity. At the same time, he asked the world leaders to ask themselves as they wake up in the morning, "What have I done for Ukraine?" After all, the war is not as far as it seems.

On February 24, Russian president Putin launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.

The United States, the European Union, and other countries have imposed sanctions on Russia, making its international isolation grow by the day.
