Ukraine spent UAH 130B on fight against COVID-19 – Marchenko

Since the pandemic began, Ukraine has spent UAH 130 billion on the fight against COVID-19.

Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko said during an hour of questions to Government held in Parliament on Friday, February 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"In recent years, there has been an unprecedented challenge of fighting against Covid-19, which we are successfully coping with. Since the start of the pandemic, the state has spent UAH 130 billion for this purpose," Marchenko said.

He noted that UAH 233 billion is projected for the healthcare sector this year alone.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine spent UAH 46.4 billion in budget funds on the fight against COVID-19 in 2021.
