Ukrzaliznytsia gets UAH 21M in net profit in Jan 2022

“In January 2022, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia increased its net sales revenue by 62.6% to UAH 9.275 billion, EBITDA grew fivefold to UAH 2.562 billion. Due to this, the company received a net profit of UAH 21.2 million compared to UAH 693 million in net losses in January 2021,” the report says.

In particular, revenues from freight transportation over the reporting period rose by 65.5%, to UAH 8.15 billion, revenues from passenger transportation - by 58%, to UAH 514 million. EBITDA margin increased by 18.8 percentage points, up to 27.6%.

As Ukrinform reported, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia received a net profit of UAH 457.5 million in 2021 compared with almost UAH 12 billion in net losses in 2020. Net sales revenue amounted to UAH 86.6 billion, which is 15% higher than in 2020.
