The Republic of Belarus has granted Ukrainian carriers 7,000 additional permits for international road haulage, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine.

It is noted that Ukrainian carriers will receive 4,000 bilateral permits and 3,000 transit permits.

The ministry reminded that on November 5, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Law No. 0060 "On the Ratification of the Protocol between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on the Introduction of Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on International Road Haulage as of December 17, 1992."

According to the ministry, the required state procedures for the entry into force of the document are almost complete. Soon Ukrainian carriers will have no need to obtain permits from Belarus for international road haulage.
