The European Union is ready to support the Ukrainian Fund for Partial Credit Guarantee in Agriculture.

Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas wrote about this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

“Law on Partial Credit Guarantee Facility adopted by Ukraine’s parliament is a huge step for land reform. It will secure access for Ukraine’s small farmers to finance and affordable credits, so that they can buy agricultural land and invest in their business. The EU is ready to support the Facility,” Maasikas wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 4, the Verkhovna Rada supported the law (No.3205-2) on the creation of the Fund for Partial Credit Guarantee in Agriculture. The purpose of the Fund is to support small- and medium-sized agricultural enterprises that own or lease up to 500 hectares of agricultural land. To this end, the state will guarantee the fulfillment of obligations of farmers under credit agreements.
