Banks provided UAH 0.7B under Affordable Loans program last week

Last week authorized banks issued 330 loans for a total sum of UAH 0.71 billion under the government’s program “Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%", Ukrinform reports with a reference to the Finance Ministry’s press service.

Since the start of the program, authorized banks have issued 25.5 thousand loans for a total sum of UAH 66.9 billion. In particular, UAH 21.92 billion was issued as refinancing of previously received loans, UAH 8.12 billion was received by entrepreneurs for capital investments and UAH 36.92 billion as anti-crisis loans.

The Finance Ministry noted that the draft state budget for 2022 provides for UAH 3 billion for the program to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%", which will allow providing assistance to 20,000 more entrepreneurs.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution to launch the program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" from February 1, 2020.

On April 15, the Cabinet of Ministers increased the maximum amount of loans under the program from UAH 2 million to UAH 3 million, and expanded the list of investment purposes for which these loans could be issued.
