G7 ambassadors, NBU governor discuss fulfillment of IMF program commitments

The ambassadors of the G7 countries and the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyrylo Shevchenko, have discussed the fulfillment of IMF program commitments and plans to continue the reform of the banking sector, according to the Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors' Support Group in Kyiv.

"G7 Ambassadors, in their meeting with NBU governor Shevchenko, heard about the NBU's efforts to ensure fulfilment of its IMF programme commitments and its plans to continue reform of the banking sector," the tweet reads.

They also underscored the importance of good corporate governance, in line with OECD guidelines, in the state-owned banking sector, and noted their continued support for a strong, independent NBU that contributes to Ukraine's economic stability and prosperity.
