Yermak holds first meeting of special group to counter threats to energy sector

Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak has held a constituent meeting of the special working group to minimize threats to the security and energy sectors of Ukraine.  

Ukrinform reports this with a reference to the President’s Office.

"The working group, established by President Volodymyr Zelensky, should develop proposals for measures to prevent and minimize the negative consequences for the state in connection with the construction of main gas pipelines bypassing Ukraine," the report says.

Opening the meeting, Yermak stressed that all parties involved should move within the agreed unified strategic plan aimed at implementing the task set by the President of Ukraine.

The participants in the meeting also discussed the challenges facing Ukraine at the current stage, as well as the algorithm of actions for the near future.

As Ukrinform reported, on September 16, President Volodymyr Zelensky created a special working group to develop proposals to minimize threats from the construction of gas pipelines bypassing Ukraine.
