Ukraine hopes to receive up to $2 B from World Bank in coming years

"Currently, the World Bank is the second-largest investor in Ukraine that has committed $13 billion in loans for Ukraine, $10 billion of which has been disbursed. We have the ambition to receive from one to two billion in the coming years," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said during the Kyiv International Economic Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The major creditor so far is the International Monetary Fund, he noted. In addition, Ukraine has close cooperation with the European Investment Bank as the deals to the tune of $7 billion have already been signed.

In June 2021, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the World Bank signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with a = $350 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the First Economic Recovery Development Policy Loan project.
