"This is over the average reported in previous years. The injection of fuel resources into Ukraine’s underground storage facilities continues," JSC Ukrtransgaz reports, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that the gas reserves are sufficient to ensure a stable 2021-2022 heating season.
As reported earlier, Uktransgaz plans to pump 19 billion cubic meters of gas into the underground storage facility before the start of the heating season.
According to CEO of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, Serhiy Makogon, the GTS is well-maintained and ready to deliver gas to Europe at a full annual capacity of 146 billion cubic meters.
