NBU provides UAH 217M in refinancing to four banks

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) provided a total of UAH 217 million in refinancing to four banks, Ukrinform reports, referring to the central bank’s press service.
On September 17, 2021, a quantitative tender was held for the refinancing of banks for a term of 84 days. The applications of four banks for a total sum of UAH 217.0 million at an interest rate of 9.50% per annum were satisfied.
As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank curtails long-term refinancing and interest rate swaps from the fourth quarter of 2021. The last long-term refinancing tender took place on September 10. The interest rate swap auction will take place on September 29. In addition, from October 1, the maturity of refinancing loans at weekly tenders will be reduced from 90 to 30 days.
