The budget of Kyiv city for 2022 is projected at UAH 65 billion, Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said on the air of the Priamyi TV channel.

Ukrinform reports this with a reference to Kyiv’s Official Portal.

"As for the city budget, it will be slightly larger than this year. Given the shortfalls caused by the pandemic, the budget for 2022 will total about UAH 65 billion," Klitschko said.

According to the mayor, traditionally almost a third of budget funds would be spent on education. A significant amount of budget funds will be used for healthcare, transport, and road construction and repairs.

At the same time, Klitschko noted that this year alone, the city received less than almost UAH 5 billion due to the crisis caused by the pandemic.

As reported, on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on Ukraine's state budget for 2022.
