"Last year, Lithuanian business invested EUR 180 million in Ukraine, in particular, in financial sector, insurance, wholesale and retail trade. According to him, many companies work in Ukraine dealing with construction, agriculture, import of Ukrainian grain, oil, metal, coal, etc.

In addition, Lithuanian business is interested in developing relations with Ukraine in such areas as renewable energy, energy efficiency, ecology, water purification, reducing climate change, infrastructure restoration.

The Ambassador also stressed that it was no secret that foreign business faced certain problems in Ukraine. "More transparent courts, aversion to corruption, and the reduction of administrative barriers could help Ukraine attract even more foreign investment," Sarapinas noted.
