The draft state budget for 2022, which the Cabinet of Ministers is planning to submit to Parliament on September 15, provides for an increase in healthcare spending and support for the economy.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote about this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"For the first time, the document will be based on a medium-term budget declaration, which is designed for three years. It will be a balanced and realistic document. We will continue to increase spending on healthcare, education, defense, social programs and economic support," Shmyhal wrote.

According to him, the government will also initiate a UAH 12 billion increase in subsidies this year, which will provide support for housing and municipal services to all who need it.

Shmyhal reminded that from October 1, electricity tariffs will be reduced for 80% of Ukrainian families, and the price of natural gas for households within the annual tariffs will be fixed for the entire heating season. He stressed that there are no reasons for local authorities to raise heat generation tariffs.

In addition, the prime minister wrote that according to the State Customs Service, exports of Ukrainian products increased by $11 billion in January-August 2021, or 35% compared to last year, which contributes to the national currency stability.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada will consider the draft state budget for 2022, as well as "anti-oligarchic" bills at second reading during the next plenary week (September 21-24).
