Ukraine interested in rapid deepening of trade and economic cooperation with UAE – Liubchenko
They discussed these issues during an online meeting on July 27, the Government portal reports.
"Ukraine is interested in attracting foreign investment. So far, a number of legislative initiatives have been approved aimed to improve the investment climate. In particular, laws on state support of projects involving large foreign investments worth over EUR 20 million, the introduction of industrial parks, and public-private partnership. We have a wide range of areas that may be of interest to business. And when we talk about investments, we mean not only funds but also innovations, technologies and human capital," Liubchenko said.
In general, the Ukrainian side considers IT, agriculture, industry, energy industry and energy efficiency, as well as continuing cooperation in the fields of tourism and space to be the most promising areas for bilateral cooperation.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi expressed great interest in Ukraine's investment policy and asked to provide the Emirati side with comprehensive information on government investment support programs. "We are ready to start working in all areas. We are waiting for detailed information and express readiness to start developing a clear program to deepen our relations in economic matters," he noted.
Apart from that, the parties discussed Ukraine's participation in the World Exhibition Expo 2020, which will begin its work in the fall in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Liubchenko thanked for the assistance in organizing the pavilion of Ukraine and invited to celebrate the National Day of Ukraine, which is scheduled for October 4, 2021 and will take place with the participation of the leadership of our state.
