Ukraine pumped 0.93 bcm of gas into underground gas storage facilities
"In total, 0.93 billion cubic meters of gas have been pumped into the underground storage facilities since the beginning of this year's pumping season," reads the report.
As of the beginning of July, gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities are 18.4% less compared with the same period last year.
In June 2021, 0.57 bcm of natural gas were pumped into Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities, which is three times less than in June 2020.
As of July 1, foreign traders stored 4.1 bcm of gas in the “customs warehouse” mode. This is 14.7% more than in the same period last year. Of these, 3.1 bcm have been accumulated in the "short haul" mode.
Resident companies store 0.6 bcm in the "customs warehouse" mode, which is two times less than in the same period in 2020. Of these, the volume of gas transferred to the underground storage facility in the "short haul" mode amounts to 0.53 bcm.
"According to preliminary estimates, we will approach the heating season with gas reserves in underground storage facilities at the level of 19-20 bcm. This will be enough to comfortably pass through the heating season in Ukraine and continue cooperation with our foreign customers," said Ukrtransgaz Acting CEO Serhiy Pereloma.
