Banks provided more than UAH 3.2B of loans under state guarantees – Finance Ministry
Obligations on the main debt, which are partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, amounted to UAH 1,538 million. This is about 39% of the total limit of guarantees provided in 2020 (UAH 3,930 million).
In May 2021, banks provided 279 loans for a total sum of UAH 778 million under state guarantees to the micro, small and medium-sized businesses.
Over the first four months since the program was launched, JSC PrivatBank fully used the guarantee limit – 100%, having provided 936 loans for a total sum of UAH 852 million.
The largest amount of loans were provided in the city of Kyiv – UAH 343 million, Lviv region – UAH 206 million, and Kyiv region (UAH 191 million).
The largest amounts of loans partially secured by state guarantees on the portfolio basis were issued in the agricultural sector (1,077), wholesale and retail trade (933), and processing industry (745).
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 3, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada approved the law on providing state guarantees on a portfolio basis.
