Ukrzaliznytsia increased freight cars turnover by 9.7%

From June 1 to June 15, 2021, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia increased the turnover of freight cars by 9.7% compared to the same period in 2020, to 7.03 days, Ukrinform reports with reference to the company’s press service.
It is noted that from June 1 to June 15, 2021, the turnover of freight cargo grew by 24% compared to the same period of the pre-crisis 2019.
In the first half of June 2021, the average daily load was 727.5 thousand tonnes, which 11.2% higher than in the corresponding period of 2020 and 3.3% higher than in the first half of June 2019. Ukrzaliznytsia expects further growth in traffic, in particular, due to the beginning of grain transportation season.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukrzaliznytsia received almost UAH 39 million in net profit in May 2021.
