PM: Cabinet allocates UAH 4.5B for infrastructure repairs in communities

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 4.5 billion to repair infrastructure in communities, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.

"This year, UAH 4.5 billion of state aid from the State Regional Development Fund will be allocated for the overhaul of infrastructure in the communities," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.

He added that the State Regional Development Fund remains a traditional mechanism for supporting regions, and the government has expanded the list of investment programs and projects in the areas to which the fund's funds will be sent.

The main objects of financing under the program are overhaul and reconstruction of secondary schools, kindergartens and hospitals. Additional funds will also be allocated for the construction of gyms and swimming pools.

As reported, the State Budget for 2021 provides UAH 4.5 billion for the State Regional Development Fund.
