Total volume of Ukroboronprom’s production grows 21% - Husev

"We have received a 21% growth at Ukroboronprom's enterprises over four months. The number of signed foreign economic contracts have increased 2.5 times compared with the same period last year," Husev said at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Economy without Oligarchs", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He reminded that Ukroboronprom's net profit doubled last year. In addition, the amount of contracts concluded by special exporters in January-April 2021 amounted to $280 million.

Husev noted he hopes that in the coming weeks the Verkhovna Rada will consider at second reading the bill, No.3822, "On the peculiarities of reforming the state-owned defense industry", which will lay the basis for rapid development of the state defense complex, which will create conditions for cooperation with strategic partners.

As Ukrinform reported, in 2020, the net profit of Ukroboronprom increased by 108.36% compared to 2019, to UAH 2.5 billion (UAH 1.2 billion in 2019). On January 29, the Verkhovna Rada approved at first reading the draft law, No.3822, “On the peculiarities of reforming the enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of state ownership”, necessary for reforming the state segment of the defense-industrial complex and reorganization of Ukroboronprom.
