Ukraine needs to develop public-private partnerships with successful companies to improve economic development, according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

He said this while visiting Flight Control LLC in Dnipro on Thursday, May 27, the government's press service reported.

"The enterprise is an example of how successful Ukrainian companies can be on world markets. Evidence of this, in particular, is a project for the production of units and systems for the lunar landing module as part of the implementation of the NASA space program. I believe that the practice of public-private partnership with leading Ukrainian companies should be actively implemented," Shmyhal said.

The company's employees noted their high skills thanks to technical educational institutions in Ukraine. Shmyhal, in turn, stressed that the development of vocational education was a key task facing the Ministry of Education and Science.

Flight Control specializes in research and experimental development in the field of natural and technical sciences. The enterprise deals with scientific space research and development of space technology. In particular, Flight Control cooperates with space companies from Ukraine, the United States, and Europe.

Shmyhal is on a working visit to Dnipropetrovsk region on May 27.
