Cabinet instructs UkraineInvest to accompany large-scale investment projects

The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on February 17, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The document proposes to determine the Investment Promotion Office as an authorized body in the process of preparing and implementing large-scale investment projects.

According to the law on the state budget for 2021, UAH 33 million is provided to ensure the work of the Office.

Among the main functions of the Office are the implementation of measures to attract potential applicants for the realization of investment projects, the provision of investors with information and consulting assistance, and interaction with state and local authorities.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on state support for investment projects with significant investments, aimed at restoring investment activity in Ukraine. According to the President’s Office, the law provides for state support to Ukrainian and foreign investors with a total investment of EUR 20 million or more.
