Over 600,000 Ukrainians employed in 2020 via employment service

More than 600,000 Ukrainians were employed in 2020 with the assistance of the State Employment Service, the State Employment Center has told Ukrinform.
The coronavirus crisis has become a serious challenge to the labor market. In Ukraine, and in the world, last year there was a significant decrease in the number of job vacancies with a simultaneous increase in unemployment.
In 2020, 606,000 Ukrainians were employed with the assistance of the State Employment Service. By type of economic activity, most citizens found work in agriculture (28%), processing industry (16%) and trade (15%), the report said.
Despite restrictive measures, the service's experts continued to search for jobs for the unemployed and found personnel for employers.
