“As of December 1, 2020, Ukraine's international reserves amounted to USD 26,135.7 million (in equivalent) according to preliminary data. In November, Ukraine’s reserves decreased by USD 4.7 million (in equivalent) due to the repayment of external and domestic liabilities of the state and the National Bank's operations to smooth exchange rate fluctuations in the foreign exchange market, which were balanced by foreign exchange earnings in favor of the government,” reads the report.

According to the central bank, the current amount of international reserves covers 4.3 months of future imports, which is sufficient to meet Ukraine’s obligations and current operations of the government and the National Bank.
