Ukraine should continue work on protection of intellectual property - Romanishyn
He stated this at a meeting of the Dialogue on Intellectual Property Rights between Ukraine and the EU, according to the press service of the Economy Ministry.
"The reform of intellectual property is one of the priorities of our ministry and the government. Therefore, an important challenge is to create effective mechanisms for the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Ukraine," Romanishyn said.
According to him, since the last meeting of the Dialogue, there have been many changes at both the legislative and infrastructural levels. In particular, the National Intellectual Property Authority was established and some laws were adopted to implement the provisions of the Association Agreement.
During the meeting, the parties declared their readiness to continue working together to improve the level of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Ukraine.
