The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a consortium of companies, Waste Treatment Technologies Netherlands B.V. (the Netherlands) and Axis Industries, UAB (Lithuania), as the general contractor for the construction of a waste processing plant in Lviv.
On October 22, the Lviv-based municipal company Zelene Misto (Green City) received an official letter with the results of consideration of the report submitted to the bank, Lviv City Council's press service reported.
"Today [on October 22], the European Bank [for Reconstruction and Development] made the decision on a consortium that will deal with the second stage of construction of the plant. This is the Dutch company WTT and the Lithuanian company Axis. They built plants in Britain, Italy, and Lithuania. There are solutions and they are now getting to work. To date, we have done a full range of preparatory work. I think the plant will be built in 24 months, or even sooner," Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said.
