Ukraine already produced more than 250 thousand t of sugar

As of October 19, Ukraine produced 251.0 thousand tonnes of sugar and processed 1.92 million tonnes of sugar beet, according to the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine.
The sugar beet processing is carried out at 27 sugar refineries across the country.
According to data provided by the Economy Ministry, as of October 15, 2 million tonnes of sugar beet was harvested in Ukraine from an area of 46.9 thousand hectares, which is 22% of the forecast.
As reported by Ukrinform, the sugar refining season of the 2020/2021 marketing year (MY) in Ukraine officially started on September 5.
