Alpari analyst forecasts slight growth of dollar against hryvnia this week

This week the U.S. dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia may rise to UAH 28.5 per dollar on the interbank market, according to senior analyst at Alpari Vadym Iosub.
"This week we expect a slight increase in the dollar against the hryvnia. The dollar on the interbank market may be traded at about UAH 28.5 in a week, and the cash dollar in banks may be traded at about UAH 28.4/28.6,” he said.
Over the past week, the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia rose by 0.3-0.5% in all segments of the foreign exchange market. Since last Monday, the U.S. dollar exchange rate set by the NBU has grown from UAH 28.21 to UAH 28.36 (+0.5%). According to UkrDealing, demand/supply of the dollar on the interbank market, during the same period increased from 28.30 / 28.32 to 28.38 / 28.40 (+ 0.3%).
