Deposits of individuals in Deposit Guarantee Fund’s banks rose by UAH 1.1B in August

In August 2020, the total amount of deposits of individuals in member banks of the Deposit Guarantee Fund grew by UAH 1.1 billion, up to UAH 554.5 billion, according to the Fund’s press service.
At the beginning of September 2020, out of the total deposits of individuals, hryvnia deposits reached UAH 318.7 billion, deposits in foreign currency - UAH 235.8 billion.
Some 98.2% of the depositors have fully protected deposits (up to UAH 200,000), which are subject to the guarantees of the Fund. The total amount of these deposits is UAH 218.7 billion.
As of September 1, 2020, the share of private entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors was 4.1%. The total amount of their deposits reached UAH 41.1 billion (7.4% of the total).
