Govt allocates UAH 30M for design and construction work of airport in Zakarpattia region
“The first steps for a new airport in Zakarpattia region have been made. The Cabinet of Ministers made a decision, which I, of course, supported, to allocate UAH 30 million this year to carry out pre-design and design work for the construction of a modern airport in Zakarpattia region, which is an extremely important and expected project for the entire infrastructure in the region," Kryklii wrote on his Facebook page.
He added that the construction of a new airport in Zakarpattia region provides for attracting investments worth UAH 4 billion. The terminal is planned to be built using the funds of a private investor, and the runway will be financed by the state.
The new airport, according to the minister, will open flights to Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, as well as to Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and charter flights to Turkey and Egypt.
