NBU will continue flexible exchange rate policy - Shevchenko

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will continue its consistent monetary and flexible exchange rate policies, NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko has said.

According to Ukrinform, he said this at a meeting with representatives of international investment institutions, the NBU's press service reported on Facebook.

"We remain in the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and will make every effort to fulfill our commitments on time and in full. The National Bank will continue its consistent monetary policy. The NBU will also continue its flexible exchange rate policy," Shevchenko said.

He added that the central bank, in its work with investors, will be guided by the principles of transparency and partnership.

On July 16, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, appointed Shevchenko as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.
