Nearly a hundred officials held criminally liable for corruption in July

Over the past month, 98 Ukrainian officials were held criminally liable and another 505 persons were held administratively liable for corruption.

"In July, the profiles of another 611 civil servants were added to the unified state register of persons who committed corruption or corruption-related offenses. The court prosecuted 98 persons and 505 more persons were held administratively liable. Disciplinary sanctions were imposed on another eight persons," the National Agency on Corruption Prevention informs.

Since the beginning of the year, the profiles of a total of 2,629 people have been added to the unified state register of persons who committed corruption or corruption-related offenses.

Out of all the criminal offenses committed in July, 65 concerned bribery, 10 – abuse of power, 4 – misappropriation, embezzlement, or seizure of property due to abuse of power, NACP notes.

The administrative offenses committed in July included 466 late submissions of declarations, 35 failures to notify of a real conflict of interest or decision-making under a real conflict of interest.

As reported, the NACP has been administering the unified state register of persons who committed corruption or corruption-related offenses since February 2019. The data in the register are updated based on the results of court rulings.
