Second batch of Belarusian trolleybuses arrives in Zhytomyr

Zhytomyr city has received two out of 11 Belarusian-manufactured trolleybuses, according to Zhytomyr City Council.
“On August 6, the delivery of the second batch of new trolleybuses to the municipal enterprise Zhytomyr Tram and Trolleybus Department began. It will last until August 19. Today the enterprise received two out of 11 trolleybuses,” the report says.
After running test, trolleybuses will start operating on city routes.
As Ukrinform reported, in June 2020, Zhytomyr received the first five out of 50 Belarusian trolleybuses that are already running in the city.
Last year, Zhytomyr signed a loan agreement with the EBRD worth 10 million euros for the purchase of 50 new trolleybuses. During the tender, the Belarusian enterprise Belkommunmash was chosen as a supplier.
