Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines plans to receive two more aircraft from lessors by the end of 2020.

The airline will continue to develop its fleet of Boeing 737 NG, Acting CEO of SkyUp Dmytro Seroukhov said in an interview with the Center for Transport Strategies.

“We could have received the 12th plane in May-June, but we consciously postponed the delivery… We have the opportunity to negotiate delivery delays with leasing companies. Also, we have already signed contracts and made the first payments for a few more aircraft. We expect to receive at least one more plane this year and several jets next year," Seroukhov said, specifying that the company will receive two more aircraft in 2020.

Thus, by the end of this year, the SkyUp fleet will consist of 13 aircraft - 11 Boeing 737 NG and 2 Boeing 737-900 ER.

He also noted that the air carrier has no plans to abandon the supply of Boeing 737 MAX and to withdraw the existing fleet out of the service.
