Bill on free economic zones in mining areas being prepared

"In my opinion, people should have a choice, new jobs should be created. Therefore, I will initiate a bill to create certain free economic zones in mining towns, mining areas," Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing, and Utilities Services Andriy Herus said during a press conference at the Ukrinform news agency.

This bill should also introduce benefits for connection to electricity and gas networks.

"Thus, we want to stimulate the emergence of new enterprises, new businesses, new jobs. This constitutes a proper transformation of mining areas," the MP concluded.
