Ukraine gets access to about $3.4B - NBU

On July 23, Ukraine successfully placed Eurobonds and received macro-financial assistance from the European Union, which gave it access to about $3.4 billion at once, the press service of the National Bank wrote on its Facebook page.

“In one day [July 23], Ukraine successfully placed Eurobonds and received macro-financial assistance from the European Union. In one day, our state got access to about $3.4 billion at once, which Ukraine needs much today, amid the coronavirus crisis,” reads the report.

The National Bank notes that the trust of foreign partners and investors in Ukraine is based on confidence in the consistency of prudent fiscal and monetary policies.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine signed a memorandum and a loan agreement on the provision of EU macro-financial assistance worth EUR 1.2 billion to Ukraine.
