Naftogaz transfers over UAH 48 bln in dividends to state budget

The Communications Department of NJSC Naftogaz wrote this on the company’s website.

“This is a record amount of dividends received by the Ukrainian budget from a state-owned company. It is 2.4 times higher than similar payments made by Naftogaz for 2018 to the state budget. Of this amount, Naftogaz transferred UAH 8.5 billion to the budget at the end of 2019 under government’s decision. Then the funds from Naftogaz allowed the budget to make the necessary payments, which were under threat because of possible lack of funds," reads the statement.

According to the government's decision, dividends accounted for 95% of Naftogaz net profit for 2019.

In general, in the first half of the current year, the budget has already received almost UAH 75 billion in dividends and taxes from Naftogaz. The amount of state revenues from Naftogaz exceeded the sum of compensation the company received from PJSC Gazprom under the ruling of the Stockholm Arbitration.
