Finance Ministry next year to continue pension indexation – Marchenko

The Finance Ministry next year intends to continue indexation of pensions for Ukrainian retirees.
Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated this during an hour of questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"The amendments to the budget, which you supported in April, provided for pension indexation. We plan the indexation next year as well," Marchenko said.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine conducted indexation of pensions for more than 8 million retired persons in May. Since April 1, 1.5 million retired Ukrainians aged above 80 years have received a monthly increase in pension by an average of UAH 500.
