Government allocates UAH 22 bln for repairs of local roads – Shmyhal

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the 2020 state budget envisages UAH 22 billion for repairs and reconstruction of local roads across the country.
"A total of UAH 22 billion is currently envisaged for repairs and reconstruction of local roads. Together with the [Infrastructure] Ministry, we are developing a special program on repairs of bridges, including those located on local roads,” Shmyhal said during an hour of questions to the Government in the Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to the prime minister, the local government should develop the relevant design and estimate documentation for the repairs of bridges and roads, and then the government will be able to transfer funds for relevant projects.
