Parliament approves report on implementation of 2019 state budget

Ukrinform
The Verkhovna Rada has approved a report on the implementation of the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019" (No.3269-d).

A total of 237 MPs voted for the relevant document at a parliament meeting on June 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

In particular, the actual macroeconomic indicators of Ukraine's economic and social development in 2019 slightly differed from those previously projected, which were taken into account when approving the state budget for 2019.

Thus, the nominal GDP for the reporting period amounted to UAH 3,974.6 billion, while its real growth was 3.2% against projected UAH 3,946.9 billion and 3%, respectively. At the same time, inflation was 4.1% against projected 7.4%, the producer price index made up 92.6% against projected 110.1%. The average monthly salary actually grew by 9.8% compared to 2018, with its projected growth being at 6.9%

In addition, with the projected growth of exports of goods and services being at 8.3% and imports of goods and services being at 9.1%, they actually rose by 7.2% and 7.5%, respectively. Deviation of actual macro indicators from the corresponding forecast indicators shows the shortcomings of their forecasting, which, in turn, negatively affects the quality of budget planning.

Revenues of the 2019 state budget amounted to UAH 998.3 billion, or 99.1% of the projected indicators, and grew by UAH 70.2 billion compared to 2018.
