Approaching the "industrial visa-free regime", i.e., the signing of the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA), with the EU will take at least a year.

"Approaching the ‘industrial visa-free regime’ with the European Union requires, according to yesterday's negotiations, at least a year of work. But we are doing this work, we will meet the parameters and requirements necessary to get such an opportunity when goods, works, and services will be able to enter the EU without hindrance," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at a press conference "100 Days of Government" on June 11, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, Shmyhal also stressed that Ukraine was also interested in "industrial visa-free regime" not only with EU countries but also with G20 states.

The Prime Minister noted that he, the President of Ukraine, and the Foreign Minister work to settle this issue in the near future.

Earlier, Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko said during the meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas that Ukraine hoped to start updating the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. “This issue is particularly important due to the difficult situation in international trade. Also, a priority issue is the removal of technical barriers in trade with the EU; we are ready to conclude the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA),” the minister said at the meeting.
